This weekend is going to be crucial in setting the pace for the final lap of the EPL title. Our two title challengers play their home matches against relatively weaker teams today. Man Utd can bank on its home form against Everton. The recent bad luck that Everton had on the injury front, would make their job even harder but still a draw is not totally out of the equation and which could turn this title race into a very interesting turn around. Chelsea on the other hand are up against Their former manager's West Ham side, which can always play with their heart on their sleeves n spring a few surprising results. Then we have Arsenal playing away at the Reebok stadium. Owen Coyle's side has been a revelation for me when you consider that not very long ago it was managed by Fat Sam. I still believe even if we play away n our challengers at home, we can still count it to our advantage , given our away league form this season. A win at Rebook can boost our sagging confidence n get our title quest back on the l'chemin d'or ( Golden Path).
Our Recent form has been a bit of worry. VP10, TW14 n SN08 have been in good touch after bagging a goal each in last outing against our dear neighbors in the midweek. In fact VP10 has been having one of his best season, scoring 18 goals from 28 appearances((21 starts). He looks to best his 20 goals a season mark scored back in 2008=09 season. Nasri started out in an awesome manner this season but seemed a bit exhausted in the middle part of the season but since last 2 games he has regained his spark and spunk which makes him such a dangerous player and scored his 15th goal this season against Spuds. Theo like the other two is also having his best season for arsenal yet. I believe he can do better than 12 goals a season. He has the pace, he as the skill all he need to do is get a bit more clinical. When I see Walcott I see him potentially better than Lenon but a tad bit weaker than Bale. He needs to add a bit more accuracy to his crosses if he continues on the right wing next season.
Our midfield has the talent, the spark and trickery to deceive the best but is either too naive or too arrogant , which sees them giving the ball away easily n then collecting a silly yellow card in an effort to retrieve it. Song is not at his best yet as he is returning from injury and Wilshere being exhausted could see Diaby play an important role for the rest of the season. I love Diaby, but for all his bag of tricks, there is a naive French brain which sees him committing useless fouls on the pitch. I hope he learns soon from his mistakes n stop feuding with player on and off the pitch. That leaves us with Fabregas, who simply is the epitome of Arsenal's form this season can be momentarily so brilliant to plainly mediocre in span of few minutes. I am not disputing his talent but for all his off field talks, I do not see him putting his best effort. I just hope he gets his focus back on the match one or two brilliant passes are great but giving the ball away 20 times can be catastrophic.
About the defense mum is the word. I just hope somehow our defense gets some steel against Bolton and we somehow come back with 3 points on Sunday.
